On June 18, 2005, the twinship ceremony between the community of Pedoulas and the Municipality of Trikolonoi, Arcadia (Greece) took place in the "Eurydice and Loukas Ellinas" event hall at Pedoulas Gymnasium. The event began with a blessing from Protopresbyter Charalambos Kourris, and then, Andreas Rodiatis, the General Secretary of the Pedoulas Overseas Association, welcomed the attendees.

Greetings followed from: Andreas Pavlou (President of the Pedoulas Community Council), Giorgos Baroutsas (Mayor of Trikolonoi, Arcadia), and Paraskevas Papakostopoulos (Mayor of Paiania).

Next, the Protocol of Agreement for the twinship between the municipalities of Pedoulas and Trikolonoi, Arcadia, was read by Socrates Konstantinidis, and was signed by the mayors of the two cities. Finally, gifts were exchanged between the three municipalities of Pedoulas, Trikolonoi, Arcadia, and Paiania.

Greetings were also addressed by Andreas Christou (Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Cyprus) and Dimitris Avramopoulos (Minister of Tourism Development of Greece).

The event concluded with the unveiling of a commemorative plaque dedicated to the twinship of the two communities by the two ministers. This commemorative plaque still adorns the central street of the community of Pedoulas (Filoxenias Street) and is placed on a stone pedestal near the monument with the statue of the Ethnarch Makarios III.
